Kurt & Anja Vergaerde-Denolf win the 4th national race in Barcelona long distance vs. 6,533 pigeons!

On Friday, July 7th, 2023, the long-distance race in Barcelona started at 7:00 a.m. in very nice, warm weather
and a south-easterly wind. There were a total of 16,561 pigeons at the start internationally. Belgium had the largest
 share with 6,533 pigeons.

Kurt & Anja Vergaerde - Denolf from Jabbeke in West Flemish recorded their two-year-old hen B21-3122949 on Saturday
morning at 5:59:45 a.m. at a distance of 1,072.057 km with 1,064.87 meters/min.
This should be the 4th National vs. 6,533 pigeons. This top result is certainly very high because it is a two-year-old hen
and not a perennial long-distance pigeon!

The successful team Kurt & Anja Vergaerde - Denolf are really no strangers to the Belgian long-distance game.
With relatively few pigeons, they have been in the limelight nationally and internationally in recent years.
Just two examples: In 2019 Kurt & Anja won the GOUDEN DUIF Internationale Zware Fondcompetitie against
the entire elite of the long distance and in 2022 the 1st National Perpignan (953 km) vs. 3,766 pigeons also with
the hen B18-3049737.
Team Amazing Wings congratulates the likeable successful duo Kurt & Anja on their 4th National Barcelona 2023!
Hopefully another top result will follow on Friday, July 28, 2023 from the national race Narbonne (800 km) with 5,000
 birds and 6,100 yearlings!
Good Luck!
