Brothers Van Landeghem from Kruibeke win the 3rd National Chateauroux (520 km) vs. 20,789 youngsters!

After the high temperatures last week in Belgium and the postponement of the national race Bourges (480 km) for young birds the national race Chateauroux was on the program on Saturday 15th August 2020.

It was of course a big jump for the youngsters from the 300 km flights to 520 km and it should also be a difficult race for the youngsters.

On Saturday 15.08.20 there were 20,789 young birds, 6,306 yearlings and 3,618 birds in Chateauroux (520 km).
Start was at 7.30 a.m., weather: fine to very fine, calm, good visibility.

The Landeghem brothers from Kruibeke in East Flanders recorded their young hen B20-4021909 at 13:53:07 at a distance of 520.291 km at a speed of 1,358.05 min./meter. This should be the 3rd national against 20,789 youngsters. The Landeghem brothers are definitely no strangers to the national races, they won the 1st National La Souterraine against 16,814 pigeons a few years ago.

If you study the parentage of the young hen B20-4021909 (3rd national vs. 20.20.789 youngsters) you will immediately notice that on the father's side
the grandmother B12-4058022 also the mother of the 1st National Chateauroux for yearlings vs. 6,306 pigeons at Xavier Verstraete is from the same race. An unbelievable thing!

The Amazing Wings team congratulates the Van Landeghem brothers once again on this great success!
