On Saturday 24 June 2023 the national race Argenton
(549 km) started at 7.00 a.m. in fine weather, no wind
and good visibility with a total of 26,469 pigeons
(11,259 birds and 15,210 yearlings).
Kenny Hollanders from Berlaar (Antwerp province) recorded his yearling hen B22-6120169 at a speed of 1,281.78 meters/min
at a distance of 549.949 km on 14.09.03. This should be the 1st National vs. 15,210 yearlings and fastest of a total of 26,469 pigeons!
In the case of the old birds, the "Pigeon Lady" Esther VERECKE from Beersel, also in the province of Antwerp,
wins the 1st National vs. 11,259 old birds and at the same time the 4th fastest bird out of a total of 26,469 birds!
Esther clocked her two-year-old hen B21-6042594 at 14:05:59 with a speed of 1,280.41 meters/min.
This is the culmination of a very successful 2023 travel season. Bravo!
